Beeville, TX. March 22 – 24, 2013.
Another Texas Mile in the books and another record set by the camo wrapped, twin-turbo Ford GT owned by our friend Mark, prepped by the Hennessey team, tuned by Shane and this time driven by Patrick. At the end of a standing mile, the street legal Ford GT had set a new Texas Mile record of 267.6 mph.
Unfortunately the 4th generation black Camaro of KP Racing (aka: The World’s Fastest Camaro) suffered a horrific crash on the 2nd day of the event. The car will not live to race again, but fortunately the driver will.

Beeville, TX. October 26 – 28, 2012.
Once again, the twin-turbo Ford GT, owned by our friend Mark and driven by our friend Sean, set the fastest MPH of the Texas Mile. On the first day of the event, Sean took Mark’s camo wrapped GT to an impressive 263.3 mph in the standing mile, breaking the Texas Mile record set by the duo at the March 2012 event.
The black 4th generation Camaro, owned by the newly formed KP Racing, had plans of setting the event record but came up short with a 263.2 mph run before running into mechanical issues.

Twice a year at the Texas Mile, some of the country’s fastest cars gather at Chase Field in Beeville, Texas to see how fast they can go in a standing mile. The fastest vehicle at the March 2012 event was our friend’s camo wrapped Ford GT, that went 257.7 mph.

We were there to see our friend’s Hennessey built twin-turbo Ford GT, tuned by Shane Tecklenburg of Fast Motorsports, run 257.7mph at the world famous Texas Mile, on March 25, 2012, smashing the previous record of 250.1 mph.

Friday the car ran in the mid 220′s MPH’s. Saturday the boost was turned up… The driver walked away and is OK.

We were there to see this happen – still truly amazing the driver walked away. Strange things happen at 235mph.
