2013 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty Raw Power

Posted in cars on January 3rd, 2013 by admin

The 2013 Ram 3500 is the latest truck in the Dodge Ram series to get a makeover. Revealed at the 2012 State Fair of Texas, this Ram has a larger, stronger frame than previous models, which improves towing capabilities to a standard that Ram claim to be the market leader. This incorporates a stronger front axle for heavy duty weight carrying capable of holding a heavier snow plow than previous models as well as accommodating other construction applications if needed.

In keeping with the recently launched 1500 and 2500, the 3500 is an extremely good-looking pick up, though most of the major improvements can be found under the hood. The Cummins engine now comes in three different types, with the lowest output starting at 350 horsepower couple with six-speed manual transmission. The six-speed automatic model offers you 370 horsepower, while drivers with a need for speed can gain 385 horsepower with the new automatic six-speed Aisin.

All of the truck’s cooling systems have been upgraded and there’s the option to add a catalyst reduction system to open the vehicle up to B-20 biodiesel. As with smaller models in the series, the electrical structure of the 3500 has been completely updated, making upgrades safer and easier to manage. Serious truckers will be pleased to note the addition of Diesel Exhaust Fluid. This on-demand system features a heated fuel tank for truckers in colder climates, and the engine won’t cut power as the DEF runs low. It still needs to be refilled, and the port is positioned right next to the capless fuel port.

Like the 1500 and 2500 models, the 3500 benefits from some top interior updates, including Chrysler’s new 8.4 inchUConnect infotainment system, new climate controls, HD radio and a keyless start-up system. There’s a funky voice recognition feature that allows to you dictate text messages on the go and backup cameras to aid with parking. All these upgrades are available in the 4500 and the 5500 models, which also boast the best gross axle weight ratings and the largest fuel tanks and brakes available in the this class.

The Ram 3500 comes with a five year per 100,000-mile warranty and makes for the perfect power truck. It’s smart, stylish and bursting with innovations that make for one of the most comfortable drives a truck fan could want.

Ram is on a roll right now.
Perhaps dodge spinning off the brand has paid off.
